OOTD - All Black Day

So the typical British weather is back - rainy, cloudy, dull. I wouldn't call an all black outfit boring, but it definitely doesn't stand out next to this seasons bright prints. However as my mother says, black's my favourite colour - or at least when it comes to clothing - and sometimes a day working at home and running errands requires unbrushed hair along with clothing that's a little more chilled and makes less of a statement.

Dress: Forever 21
Cardigan: H&M

What do you think, do you still rock all black in the middle of summer?

OOTD - My sister's Birthday

So yesterday was my big sister's 20th birthday! In our family we sort of gave up having big parties but since we moved to Cheshire we always celebrate with our Mum, Dad, Aunt and Uncle, normally just having a family meal after opening presents. Below is a quick all black (very summery...) OOTD:

Excuse my extremely pale legs!!

Dress: Miss Selfridge
Kimono: Primark
Shoes: Boohoo

Here are a few extra pictures from the day (:

On a Pedalo!! (I was very hot in all black so changed my kimono while in the sun)

Left: Confetti which covered our kitchen table! Right: Some of the Dr Who cupcakes I made my sister - can you name them all?

Kylie Jenner Inspired Outfit

For my first blog post I thought I would start with an outfit inspired by my favourite celebrity of the moment, Miss Kylie Jenner. If you don't know who she is then you clearly don't read the Mail Online at least five times a day, or watch Keeping up the Kardashians repeatedly, or stalk her blog, can you tell I'm a little obsessed? Funnily enough she was also the inspiration of my first post on my old blog too, since been taken down and long forgotten. Kylie posted this photo to her Instagram just under a month ago and my outfit is pretty similar. What do you think?

Top: Boohoo
Skirt: Boohoo
Chelsea Boots: New Look

The skirt and top are so soft!!

NB: Maxi skirt is quite long. I'm around 5 foot 6.5"/ 169cm and the size 8 trails on the floor a little so I have to wear it with heals. The waist band is really stretchy so unless you are quite tall I would recommend going down at least one size down to normal. Unfortunately size 8 is the smallest they do but if you're on the shorter side it can be rolled up and its not too obvious.

Dark underwear shows through the maxi skirt! Also, as with leggings, two words, panty lines!!!
